State Implementation and Classification
Description
To provide trade studies in the Auto Body Repair Trades.
To provide the theoretical basis and the development of skills and safe working
practices commonly found in the Automotive Industries.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
In order to satisfy the requirements of this course, students must complete
core and elective units as shown below, totalling 936 hours.
Work Experience Real Work Program
Pre-apprentices are encouraged to attend work experience (Real Work Program)
for up to 240 hours per year. The work experience program is supplementary to
the award.

the learner with the off-the-job component only. Competent performance will be
achieved when the learner can practise the skills and meet the requirements of
recognised competency schedules (eg. TTS).
2 CREDIT TRANSFER
Upon successful completion of the technical training
section of this course, the learner will be credited
with the relevant modules in the Certificate III of
Engineering (Auto Body Repair).
3 CERTIFICATE OF PRE-APPRENTICE STUDIES
To be eligible for the award of Certificate I of
Pre-Apprentice Studies (Auto Body Refinishing) the
learner must reach a pass standard or competence in
all modules of the course.
