This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to develop an understanding of the Aboriginal concept of ‘Country’ and its application to ways of knowing and being, concepts of spirituality, culture and identity.
The local cultural knowledge necessary to achieve competency in this unit may only be accessible to Aboriginal people.
Individuals could be preparing for work or further learning in a range of vocational areas. This learning and work would include appropriate guidance, support and supervision by a recognised member of the local Aboriginal community.
No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
