Description
To introduce learners to narrative and documentary forms of photographic practice and the use of stills in video sequences.
Range of Variables
Intended teaching strategy to include:

Specific recognition of issues of responsibility for Aboriginal artists working with photography and other reproductive technologies.

Development and application of photographic skills to the needs of Aboriginal students and in the maintenance and expression of Aboriginal culture.

Recognition of the place of photography in Aboriginal history and culture.

Use of examples of work by Aboriginal photographers.

Flexible mode of delivery to allow for exhibition and studio visits.

Recognition to be given to different levels of traditional knowledge available to tutors and students dependent on position in the community, gender, age, locale and obligations.

Awareness of health and safety issues, practice preparation, cleaning of materials and equipment, respect for facilities and consideration of the well-being of others.

Students will be required to participate in group work
and submit a folio with prescribed work. This folio
should be assessed by a panel of lecturers.
