This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to maintain a high level of vigilance over time in a complex, dynamic, high consequence environment.
The unit of competency is applied by personnel who hold a position of control in any high pressure, high accountability work environment such as those found within complex automated environments where a high degree of situational awareness is critical.
It includes building situational awareness of the continuing status of areas of responsibility, maintaining vigilance and acting on situational information.
No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
