Description
To familiarise the learner with the terminology used to describe the main
components of the ‘traditional’ single-CPU computer system in its various
guises, and with the purpose of each component and its contribution to the
functioning of the complete system. The learner will also become familiar with
simple measures of a computer’s speed and capacity. The learner will have
assembled the components of a typical retail personal computer into an
operating system.
