The purpose of this module is to research, discuss and evaluate theoretical and historical issues in selected fields of visual culture; to apply varied approaches to the understanding and interpretation of current and past practices in the visual arts in the context of broad cultural concerns to refine skills of critical investigation and speculative thinking; and to articulate responses to issues and practices in verbal and written projects.
