This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to control safety risks within automated operations in dynamic, high pressure, high consequence environments.
The unit of competency is applied by persons with responsibility for controlling and mitigating safety risks in mixed human-automation workplaces under normal circumstances and in case of emergency, with the ultimate aim of achieving a culture of zero harm.
It includes interpreting safety requirements, controlling environmental safety risks, and risks to autonomous equipment and systems, and responding to emergencies related to automation.
No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
