Dressmaking Techniques 4 is designed to enable
students to:
- learn the construction techniques involved in making
soft-tailored jackets.
- learn to fit a tailored jacket on a customer.
- use more advanced construction techniques to produce a
co-ordinated outfit.

Sample File - a comprehensive record of all required
processes to be completed, together with
specification sheets for each garment. 30%
Assignment Garments - a ladies' three-piece
co-ordinated outfit, including a lined semi-tailored
jacket in woven fabric with cut-in pockets and bound
buttonholes. The outfit must be based on the lined jacket, and must
include a lined skirt and a
blouse. 70%
Other garments are optional.
NOTE: Garments must be cut out in class, and 50% of
the work done under the lecturer's supervision.
