Description
To enable students to communicate appropriately and
effectively in English and the LOTE (Language Other
Than English), both orally and in writing, in the
area of Business.

To inform students about business organisation and
procedures in a country where the LOTE is spoken and
compare these with Australia.

To enable students to extract and impart relevant
information from a variety of sources related to
business.

2 Orally summarise the main points of a letter, document, or

3 Take part in a meeting, write notes and them summarise them. 10%

4 Write:

enquiry/problem. 10%

5 Role-plays:

- business client from LOTE country and local business

- business person and transport

6 Write a short report (minimum 300 words) on a business organisation in
a LOTE country. 20%
