1. CORE UNITS
MANDATORY CORE UNITS: Learners to complete the FOUR (4) core units listed below -

Ceramics, Digital Art, Drawing, Glass, Jewellery, Painting, Prints, Sculpture, Textiles/Fibre, Video Art, Wood, Photoimaging, (see example below).

The total package of units must meet the requirements of the Australian Qualifications Framework Descriptor for a Certificate II. In all cases selection of electives must be guided by the job outcomes sought, local industry requirements and the level of the qualification.

This qualification was updated on 18 September 2008 by the DET to reflect a national continuous improvement version change. The change mostly consisted of removing Key Competencies which were replaced by Employability Skills in all units.
