Description
This is a preparatory qualification which allows individuals to develop basic functional knowledge and skills to prepare for work in the sport and recreation industry. The range of technical knowledge and skills is limited.
The combined skills and knowledge do not provide for a job outcome in the sport, fitness and recreation industry, and this qualification is intended to prepare individuals for further training.
The skills in this qualification must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State or Territory legislation, Australian standards and industry codes of practice.
No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Packaging Rules
Seven (7) units must be completed:- Four (4) core units
- Three (3) units from the list below, elsewhere in SIS Training Package, or any other current Training Package or accredited course.
The selection of electives must be guided by the complexity of skills appropriate to the AQF level of this qualification.
