Six elective units must be completed.

The elective units can be selected from the:

- electives table listed in the General Construction Training Package BCG03
- two of the six units may be selected from another relevant endorsed Training Package or from other Diploma qualifications within the General Construction Training Package BCG03 - these units must be selected to maintain both the integrity of the AQF level and the industry context of the qualification.

One of the six units may be drawn from an AQF level either aligned to AQF IV or Advanced Diploma. Additional units of competency may be required to meet builder registration requirements.
