Description
This Qualification is the industry standard for veterinary nurses who provide a leadership role and apply advanced skills and knowledge in patient assessment, care and management within a veterinary workplace.
Candidates undertaking study for this Qualification require extensive vocational expertise and should expect that access through paid employment within a veterinary practice will be essential for meeting assessment requirements of some Units.
The Diploma of Veterinary Nursing (General Practice) requires access and regular exposure to patients, clients, consults, medical and surgical cases, veterinary staff, nursing, reception and administrative duties, practice policies, procedures, retail and customer service experiences.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTSEntrants into ACM50512 Diploma of Veterinary Nursing (General Practice) are required to hold the nineteen (19) Core Units from the ACM40412 Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
