1.
Core 1 Year 12 entry. The qualification requires a slightly different core depending on the entry level of the learner. Entry with year 12 (or equiv.) with approporiate Maths and Science are required to complete all the foundation units, plus 14 points from Band Core 1 (MEM 2.1C12, 2.2C11, 2.3C11, 2.4C11, 2.5C11, 2.6C10) plus 16 points from band 2 core units required for C5 ( 2.10C5, 2.11C5, 2.13C5, 2.14C5, 2.15C5, 2.16C5) plus 50 Points from specialisation band A and/or band B units (including dual band A/band B units) (maximum 24 points from band A). Reference should be made to the Training Package MEM98 and the current MERSITAB Policy Deocument. Highest alpha version to be selected.

Core 2 Certificate III in Engineering -Trade or Production. The qualification requires a slightly different core depending on entry level of the learner. Certificate III in Engineering-Trade or Production Jewellery Manufacturing, Marine Construction(or equiv.) plus 16 points from band 2 core units required for C5 ( 2.10C5, 2.11C5, 2.13C5, 2.14C5, 2.15C5, 2.16C5) plus 44 Points from specialisation band A and/or band B units (including dual band A/band B units) (maximum 24 points from band A).

Core 3 Certificate III in Engineering -Technician. The qualification requires a slightly different core depending on the entry level of the learner. Certificate III in Engineering-Technician (or equiv.) plus 16 points from band 2 core units required for C5 ( 2.10C5, 2.11C5, 2.13C5, 2.14C5, 2.15C5, 2.16C5) plus 44 Points from specialisation band A and/or band B units (including dual band A/band B units) (maximum 24 points from band A). Note: Up to 20 points from specialisation Band B units or band 2 Core units achieved in the Certificate III in Engineering-Technician qualification can be recognisted for advanced standing in the Diploma of Engineering, that is a minimum of 40 additional points must be achieved.
