Description
This unit of competency covers the skills and knowledge required to conduct the final quality inspection of a recreational vehicle. The work will be carried out in a recreational vehicle manufacturing facility.This unit of competency covers the preparation for, inspection of, and making any required adjustments to a recreational vehicle.The operator will be required to work to procedures, and follow plans/specifications for what is required.This unit of competency applies to an individual working alone or as part of a team/work group and working in liaison with other shift team members.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

Elements and Performance Criteria
1 Plan the work
- 1.1 Review the inclusions and finish required of the recreational vehicle
- 1.2 Check all work has been completed
- 1.3 Check any required inspection and adjustment tools are available at the worksite
- 1.4 Identify any hazards and the related hazard controls
- 1.5 Check that hazard controls are in place and operational
- 1.6 Query any items that are different to usual and clarify requirements
2 Inspect the recreational vehicle in accordance with procedures
- 2.1 Test 240 V circuits
- 2.2 Test 12 V circuits
- 2.3 Test functionality of all required appliances
- 2.4 Arrange for repair/replacement of any items which do not operate as specified
- 2.5 Check all opening/closing items
- 2.6 Check all seals
- 2.7 Make any required adjustments
3 Finish the final inspection
- 3.1 Inspect the finished recreational vehicle for cleanliness and presentation
- 3.2 Take any required action to ensure it meets requirements
- 3.3 Complete any required documentation/records
