This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to develop a workplace sustainability policy to minimise and reduce resources and toxic materials used during work functions. The unit supports the development of skills to review legislation and develop and communicate workplace policies and procedures relating to environmental sustainability.The unit supports staff responsible for ensuring policies and procedures comply with environmental legislative requirements and that sustainability targets are achieved. It applies in a range of commercial and residential work sites.No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of endorsement.
