Description
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to determine fabric performance and handling requirements and to match those requirements to suitable fabrics for the design or production of textile products. Textile products may be apparel or other non-wearable items.This unit applies to individuals who use specialised knowledge of fabrics to complete work. They may be working independently or in accordance with established design and production processes.No licensing or certification requirements exist at the time of publication. Relevant legislation, industry standards and codes of practice within Australia must be applied.
