This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to monitor waste containment and storage according to work schedules. The unit covers using monitoring equipment to check and test the waste containment and to identify and manage hazards and risks and non-conformances. The unit also covers checking and recording stock levels and monitoring and securing the storage facility to prevent contamination and unauthorised access.The unit supports those who work under limited supervision in a waste management team.No licensing, legislative, regulatory, or certification requirements apply to this unit of competency at the time of endorsement.
