Description
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to evaluate a population health project against an existing project plan.This unit applies to work in a public health context and workers at this level will demonstrate judgement and autonomy within defined guidelines. Workers may be responsible for overseeing the outputs of others.The skills in this unit must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State/Territory legislation, Australian/New Zealand standards and industry codes of practice.

Elements and Performance Criteria
1. Monitor the performance of a population health project
- 1.1 Monitor project activities to ensure they are being delivered in accordance with project plan
- 1.2 Regularly review results of monitoring to allow any problems and opportunities to be addressed
2. Evaluate a population health project
- 2.1 Collect data to measure achievement of project goals and objectives as outlined in the project evaluation plan
- 2.2 Interpret data to identify findings in relation to project outcomes
3. Report on the outcome of a population health project
- 3.1 Identify evaluation report purpose, content and format requirements from the project evaluation plan
- 3.2 Prepare report on the findings of the evaluation process
- 3.3 Disseminate report to stakeholders in accordance with the project plan
