3 Select appropriate embellishment components
- 3.1 Criteria for selection of threads is identified.
- 3.2 Types of decorations to be attached are identified.
4 Prepare work pieces and workstation
- 4.1 Work pieces are laid out.
- 4.2 Work area is set up according to OHS practices.
- 4.3 Equipment and materials are set up and adjusted to specifications for work.
- 4.4 Routine minor maintenance is performed according to manufacturer specifications.

5 Embellish garment or piece
