This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to plan waste management services to meet specific client needs. The unit covers designing and documenting a waste management service strategy based on an assessment of the client’s site and waste management habits and processes. The unit requires the ability to consult with clients and other site personnel, and to define and document strategies which meet client waste management service needs within organisational budget constraints.The unit supports those who work in lead roles in a waste management team.No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of endorsement.
