This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to encourage, develop and support positive teamwork in youth justice service settings.This unit applies to work in both a community and custodial youth justice service environment.The skills in this unit must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State or Territory legislation, Australian standards and industry codes of practice.No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

1. Establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues.
  • 1.1. Identify and agree to work responsibilities in consultation with team members.
  • 1.2. Plan and fulfil own responsibilities as agreed with colleagues.
  • 1.3. Work effectively in a team in daily practice.
  • 1.4. Identify need and provide support to colleagueswithin scope of own job role.
