To provide a structured training framework for:

the development of warehousing skills to Level 1 of the National
Warehousing and Distribution Competency Standards

a vocational awareness or vocational taster course for learners
wishing to test a vocational interest in this area

a structured program of industry specific skills and knowledge at the
introductory level which will enhance an applicant’s opportunity of being
selected as a trainee in the warehousing industry

a bridging or access course to provide entry to the Certificate II
level course for those learners who were not successful in gaining a Traineeship

a course which will provide ASF level 1 skills for learners wishing to
gain skills in this generic area as a part of, or enrichment to, other industry
sector employment or further training opportunities.
