Description
To increase the confidence of mature age women returning to employment, education and training and provide them with technical skills and knowledge to gain entry and advanced standing into technology areas including science and/or information technology.
To increase awareness of changes in technology and introduce participants to the basic skills required by employees in the science, information technology and related industries.

VET Info Notes
This course is best delivered by staff who have empathy with the Access
and Equity areas and who have experience teaching within Women's programs or
have demonstrated a commitment to improving women's employment and/or further
learning.
A guiding philosophy for providing this course, is to present a positive role
model and encourage participation and enthusiasm from women who wish to return
to study and investigate new career directions in technology and related areas.
Maximum support and assistance should be made available to participants in
order for them to achieve the outcomes of this course and seek employment or
continue with further study pathways.
GENERAL NOTES
1. This course is the copyright of the Western Australian Department of
Training and Employment. Training providers who wish to deliver this program
must obtain written approval from the proponent and be registered by their
State accrediting body.
2. The proponent for this course is the West Coast College of TAFE on
behalf of the Western Australian Department of Training and Employment. The
course was originally accredited in WA from 03/02/2000 to 30/06/2003. It has
