State Implementation and Classification
Description
To provide an initial training base for electronic students with Small
Computer Systems awareness in preparation for further studies towards a
Certificate IV and Diploma in the computer systems field.

1 COMPETENT PERFORMANCE
Successful completion of the specified modules in this course will provide the
learner with the off-the-job component only. Competent performance will be
achieved when the learner can practice the skills and meet the requirements of
recognised competency schedules.
2 CREDIT TRANSFER
Upon successful completion of the technical training section of this course,
the learner will be credited with the relevant modules in Certificate IV of
Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Computer Systems
Engineering.
3 AWARDING OF THE CERTIFICATE II OF SMALL COMPUTER SYSTEMS
To be eligible for the award of Certificate II of Small Computer Systems the
learner must reach a pass standard or competence in all core modules and one
Stream of the course.
