Description
To develop an understanding of the basic principles leading to the ability to carry out calculations involving electromagnetic quantities. Additionally, an understanding of stored charge will be developed including calculations relating to capacitors. Students will be able to choose appropriate inductors or capacitors for specific applications, aware of the hazards associated with each. in addition, student ill develop a knowledge of AC fundamentals and the operating principles of the ideal transformer. The use of a cathode ray oscilloscope will also be developed.
