Description
This course is designed to meet the needs of the insurance industry by:
-
the provision of fourteen industry specific modules within these
courses and ten generic business modules.

a range of patterns of attendance and modes of delivery
-
nominal duration of modules that can be adjusted to suit the needs of
different industry groups.
Completion of each level of the suite of courses enables the learner to apply
for membership of the Australian Insurance Institute (A.I.I.).
Completion of the Diploma of Business (General Insurance) will more than
satisfy the requirements for the Insurance Industry Code of Practice
Certificate (General).
To provide training for graduates who will be occupying positions which involve
responsibility for other staff and the development and implementation of
company policy. The course outcomes at this level include detailed insurance
specific knowledge relating to complex areas combined with financial management
skills.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
Learners who consider they possess the competencies developed through any
module/subject in this course shall be granted advanced standing upon
substantiation. Such competencies may be gained either formally or informally
and will be assessed on each particular module/subject according to the
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) requirements for that module.
REQUIREMENTS TO RECEIVE THE QUALIFICATION
Satisfactory completion of twenty four modules made up of fourteen specialist
modules and ten generic business modules.
There are three exit points.
Certificate III - AQF level 3
Certificate IV - AQF level 4
Diploma - AQF level 5.
