State Implementation and Classification
Description
The Certificate II in Leadership is a pathway to the Certificate III in Leadership course. The Certificate II in Leadership can be customised to a specific industry or community environment and also provides the clients with the necessary employability skill which will support their transition to work, further education and community participation.
Schedule
To achieve the Certificate II in Leadership, participants must successfully complete a total of nine (9) units comprising of:
- six (6) core units and;
- three (3) elective units.

2. Elective Units
Select three (3) elective units from any currently endorsed Training Package or Accredited Course at AQF level 2 to bring the course up to a minimum of 280 nominal hours. One (1) elective unit may be chosen from AQF level 1 or AQF level 3.
Elective units should be relevant to the key client group, job outcome or local industry requirements and the qualification level. It is recommended that one (1) elective unit should have a Work Health and Safety (WHS) focus.
