State Implementation and Classification
Description
The Certificate III of Children’s Services (Teacher Assistant) has been
developed to provide students with the competencies to work in a variety of
settings within the school environment. On completion of the Certificate, the
student will have developed a range of knowledge and skills including:

recognition of prior learning

decision making
-
problem solving
-
understanding human development
-
working with children with special needs
-
social issues relevant to service provision
-
organisation and appropriate work behaviours.

specialist lecturer experienced in delivering the Certificate in General
Education for Adults (CGEA). Please refer to the Victorian Certificate in
General Education for Adults curriculum document for principles of delivery,
