Description

The Intensive Horticulture Traineeship will provide training for people to
enable access to employment positions within the Horticultural industry,
including the specific streams of Floriculture, Nursery Production, Vegetable
Production, Fruit Production and Tropical and Sub-Tropical Crop Production.
Trainees can also pursue further study in the horticulture area through
articulation and credit transfer provided in some TAFE Certificate courses.

Trainees should achieve:

competence in a variety of common/core horticulture skills

-
competence in a range of specific horticulture streams, including
Floriculture, Nursery Production, Vegetable Production and Fruit Production

-
proficiency in the key competencies at the level needed in the
industry concerned.
