Description
To introduce the learner to the principles of plant nomenclature.
Range of Variables
This module is a pre-requisite for all plant identification subjects and should
be offered as an introduction to the first identification subject taken by a
class. Generally this should be either Amenity Plants A or Amenity Plants B.

To allow credible competency-based training and assessment the class size MUST
NOT exceed fifteen students.

This subject is to be assessed internally using competence as a measure of
student achievement.

The learner is required to demonstrate competency in each of the learning
outcomes in line with the assessment method shown.

Assessment will be based on an appropriate selection of the following methods:
