Description
To give learners an overview of the information resources available to them as
marketers. It outlines the range of information required to allow informed and
effective decisions to be made. It also provides for exposure to the sources of
such information, both from within marketing organisations and from external
sources. The methodologies for the collection and interpretation of this
information are also addressed.

Range of Variables
This module may be taught on or off the job. It is suitable for face to face
delivery in a classroom or other similar venue and is also suitable for
flexible delivery through, for example, mixed-mode, external, computer based or
satellite delivery systems. However adaptation of this module for appropriate
flexible delivery modes will require additional educational resources for the
instructional design and production of suitable resource materials.
Although this module is substantially knowledge or theory based it should be
supported by case studies and practical applications of the principles or
concepts outlined.
