Range of Variables
1 The theoretical underpinning the practical
skills of this module is covered in the
module 50452 'Safety for Group Care 1'.

2 The outcomes of this module must be
demonstrated on-the-job, therefore
completion of this module is dependent upon
the student having access to a Supervised
Field Placement (SFP).

The SFP must be in a children's service that
provides care for children between the ages
of 0-5 years, eg. long day care, occasional
child care, multipurpose centres, home based
care, and is appropriate for the course the
student is enrolled in.

3 The placement and assessment of students on
SFP in the Certificate IV of Children's
Services (Home Based Child Care) must follow
the 'Guidelines for Supervised Field
Placement'. See page 5.
Evidence Guide
Assessment should be carried out by both the training provider and service/scheme staff.
