To provide learners with the knowledge and skills to safely operate a chainsaw in non-forest areas.

By completing this module learners will be able to select a chainsaw and safety equipment which meet operational guidelines, perform daily maintenance on a chainsaw, sharpen a chainsaw chain, and cross-cut fallen timber on the ground.
