Description
To develop an understanding of the values of play and knowledge of the availability, storage and maintenance of a range of play equipment and materials.
To develop introductory skills of preparing and
implementing play materials and equipment with
children.

Range of Variables
1 This module could be delivered either
through an open learning mode or in a group
learning context.
For group delivery the practical nature of
this module makes it essential that a
minimum of 4 hours are allocated for
workshop groups with a maximum of 15
participants, to provide for experiential
learning.
2 The deliverer must be familiar with the
module requirements of Foundations of
Creative and Expressive Play (SFP) and
ensure that the delivery of this module
fully prepares students for the practical
skills of that module.
3 Delivery of this module requires access to
water and a range of materials and
equipment. (See Recommended Equipment list
at end of module).
4 This module is a pre-requisite for all
sub
