Description
To develop knowledge and skills to effectively
provide for the health needs of children aged
0-5 years in group care settings, including
centre based and home based care.
Range of Variables
1 This module could be delivered either
through an open learning mode or in a group
learning context.

2 The deliverer must be familiar with the
module requirements of Health and Hygiene
for Group Care 1 (SFP) and ensure that the
delivery of this module fully prepares
students for the practical skills of that
module.

3 Access to water is essential to the delivery
of this module. Access to or simulation of
a group care setting including kitchen
and meals area, bathroom, toileting area,
nappy change area, sleep area, indoor and
outdoor play area and laundry (including
materials and equipment) is considered to be
highly desirable for the delivery of this
module.
