To provide knowledge and understanding of children and families from a variety of cultural and social backgrounds.
Range of Variables
1 The theoretical elements of this module
could be delivered either through an open
learning mode or in a group learning
situation.
The attitudinal aspects of this module make
it essential that the delivery provides for
some oral discussion to explore issues which
will arise from the content of this module.
2 The assessment methods for this module are
all to be completed off-the-job.
3 Delivery of this module must take into
account that the participants will enter the
course with different backgrounds in the
study of family and society.
4 Fundamental to the intended outcome of this
module is the development of a
non-judgemental attitude by participants to
the children and families for whom they will
ultimately be providing a service in t
