1 The theoretical elements of this module could
be delivered either through the open learning
mode OR in a group learning context. The
practical component of this course makes it
essential that delivery provides for some
practical workshops to develop, practice and
assess the required knowledge and skills.

2 The workshops could be organised to suit the
needs of particular groups of students as it
will make no difference to the learning
outcomes whether they are delivered in long
blocks, for example, 2 half day workshops,
or over a number of weeks. However, if they
are presented in a block it is essential that
the theoretical component of the course be
delivered before the workshops.
