Packaging Rules
To achieve this qualification the candidate must demonstrate competency in eight (8) units comprising of:
- thirteen (13) core units plus
- eight (8) other units

Complete 8 other units with at least 4 from one or more of the following areas of the Museum and Library/Information Services Training Package:
- Information Organisation and Management
- Library Customer Service
- Preventive Conservation
- Multimedia
- Information and Computer Technology
- Recordkeeping
- Business Administration and Management
- Finance
- Human Resources

Remaining units may be selected from any relevant endorsed Training Package.

Appendix A provides guidance on suitable packaging levels for all Units of Competency. The total package of units must meet the requirements of the Australian Qualifications Framework Descriptor for an Advanced Diploma. In all cases selection of electives must be guided by the job outcome sought, local industry requirements and the level of the qualification.

This training program is a representation of the qualification code CUL60104 taken from the Museum/Library Information Services Training Package CUL04 which should be consulted for full description of requirements. CUL04 is endorsed until 30/07/2007.

3. This qualification was entered on to STARS by Central TAFE on 01/06/05.

4. This qualification was updated on 19 September and 7 October, 2008 by the DET to reflect a national continuous improvement version change (V2). The change mostly consisted of removing Key Competencies which were replaced by Employability Skills in all units. Accordingly, all CUL04 units within this qualification received a new national code (ie, B or C version) and a new TAFEWA ID unit number. Updated imported units may have also replaced some units.
