1.

To be awarded a Certificate I in Manufacturing (Pathways), competency must be achieved with nine (9) units of competency. Those units must be:
- all three core Pathways units incorporating Employability Skills
- one industry/technical unit from the industry core list (imported from MCM04)
- At least two units selected from the list of elective technical competency units
- three units of competency from any Training Package or Industry Skills Council from a qualification at either AQF level 1 or 2.

VET Info Notes
1. The Certificate I in Industry (Pathways) qualification has been developed in conjunction with three Industry Skills
Councils (Agi-food, Manufacturing and Transport and Logistics) and is available only on a trial basis to State/Territory
Training Authorities.

2. The project has been funded by ANTA/DEST. For the purpose of trial the three Pathways Certificate Is are
conditionally endorsed for a period of 6 months.

3. The qualification outline has been created on STAR by the Curriculum Development and Research branch, VET Teaching and Learning in October 2005.
