Descriptor
This qualification reflects the role of skilled operators who apply a broad range of competencies in varied work contexts, using some discretion and judgement and relevant theoretical knowledge. They may provide technical advice and support to a team. This qualification is for people whose main job is not dedicated to OHS but who take it on as a voluntary duty.

Total number of units = twelve (12)
Seven (7) occupational health and safety units plus
Five (5) elective units.

Three (3) of the elective units must be selected from the elective units listed in the BSB30707 qualification.

The remaining two (2) elective units may be selected from the remaining elective units listed in BSB30707 qualification, any currently endorsed Training Package or accredited course at the same qualification level. If not listed below, one (1) unit may be selected form a Certificate II qualification and one (1) unit from a Certificate IV qualification.

Elective units must be relevant to the work outcome, local industry requirements and the qualification level.
