Description
This qualification is designed for mobile crane operation within the transport and logistics industry and other industries. It involves a broad range of skilled applications applied in a wide variety of contexts.

Successful achievement of the high risk work (HRW) and heavy vehicle licensing units in the qualification must align with applicable licensing and regulatory requirements.

Packaging Rules
A total of twenty three (23) units of competency comprising:- fifteen (15) core units listed below, plus
- eight (8) general elective units from the general elective units listed below.
Up to two (2) of the general elective units may be selected from any relevant nationally endorsed Training Package or accredited course. The general elective units must contribute to the vocational outcomes of the qualification.
Where imported units are selected, care must be taken to ensure that all prerequisite units specified are complied with. Where a prerequisite unit is attached to a unit, it is identified by this symbol ∟.
1. Core Units
All fifteen (15) units must be completed.
2. General Elective Units
Eight (8) units may be chosen from the General Elective Units listed.

Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements for this qualification.
Traineeships and Apprenticeships
In addition to the completion of the Certificate III in Mobile Crane Operations qualification, a person must also complete the Mobile Crane Industry Certificate Skill Set developed by the Department of Training and Workforce Development. The units of competency in the skill set must be completed in the sequence specified by the Model Program developed by the Crane Industry Council of Australia (WA Branch). Logbook hours must also be completed and recorded as specified by the same Model program.
Part-time hours are defined as a minimum of 20 hours per week.
