Description
To develop an awareness and a broad understanding of the Hospitality Industry by introducing different roles, job functions and career paths available in Hospitality.
To develop entry level skills and competencies for Kitchen Attendants.
To develop the necessary literacy, numeracy, life and interpersonal skills to access and maintain open employment as a Kitchen Attendant within the Hospitality sector.

Students will need to do 120 hrs of supervised work experience or have evidence
of relevant work experience within the industry to complete the course.
Provision can be made to moderate the Industry specific modules and the work
experience components of the course as CGEA General Curriculum Options levels
1& 2 which can lead to the granting of the Certificate 1 in General Education
for Adults.
Assessments for modules in the course need to be made under the guidelines of
'A Guide to Alternative Assessment for Students with Disabilities in TAFE'
(WADOT).
