Description

This course is intended to provide the participants with the skills and knowledge to gain employment as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health and Community Researcher. Graduates of this qualification will be able to:
- Work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- Work in a population health and primary health context
- Participate in community health research
- Communicate and engage with health professionals and community members
- Work within a cultural safety framework providing advocacy and representation
- Work legally and ethically

Schedule
The Certificate III in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health and Community Research qualification consists of nine (9) units of competency obtained from the health and community services training packages. Each of the units has been selected to reflect the tasks required for the job role of the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander research assistant.

All units are core units and must be completed for the award of the qualification. There are no pre-requisite units or sequencing requirements for this qualification. There are no exit points from this qualification.
