Description
To develop knowledge and skills of objectively
observing and recording the behaviour of children.
Range of Variables
1 This module could be delivered either
through open learning mode or in a group
context.

2 The deliverer must be familiar with the
module requirements of 'Observing and
Recording Skills - SFP' (50517) and ensure
that the delivery of this module fully
prepares students for the practical skills
of that module.

3 The focus of this module is that objective
ethical and efficient observation and
recording skills form the foundation of the
study and understanding of child development
and the practical care of children.

4 A principle of this module is the
recognition, acceptance and respect for
individual differences during all stages of
human development. Delivery of this module
should support gender inclusive and
anti-bias values.
