Description
This is a qualification for those engaged in customs broker job roles within the transport and logistics industry.
Successful achievement of this qualification will require the self-directed application of knowledge and skills, with substantial depth in some areas where judgement is required in planning and selecting appropriate equipment, services and techniques for self and others.

The TLI50816 Diploma of Customs Broking qualification is aligned to the following defined role:

Packaging Rules
A total of eighteen (18) units of competency comprising:- Fifteen (15) core units listed below, plus
- Three (3) general elective units from the general elective units listed below.
Up to two (2) of the general elective units may be selected from any relevant nationally endorsed Training Package or accredited course. The general elective units must contribute to the vocational outcomes of the qualification.
Where imported units are selected, care must be taken to ensure that all prerequisite units specified are complied with.
Where a prerequisite is attached to a unit it is identified by the symbol ∟ on training.gov.au.
1. Core Units
All fifteen (15) units must be completed.
2. General Elective Units
Three (3) electives must be completed, with at least one (1) selected from the list below.
