Description
This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to perform a range of service and repair tasks on outdoor power equipment. It is suitable for entry into the outdoor power equipment mechanical service and repair industry.
Job roles and employment outcomes
The Certificate III in Outdoor Power Equipment Technology is intended to prepare new employees or recognise and develop existing workers performing service and repair roles in the outdoor power equipment mechanical service and repair industry.
Job outcomes targeted by this qualification include:
outdoor power equipment technicians
repair technicians.
The work may also include tasks related to the operation of the business and/or the supervision of others
Application
This qualification is suitable for an Australian Apprenticeship pathway.

Packaging Rules
To be awarded this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in thirty six (36) units of competency, consisting of:- eighteen (18) core units, plus
- eighteen (18) elective units, of which:
- up to eighteen (18) elective units may be chosen from the elective units listed in the qualification outline
- up to six (6) elective units may be chosen from a Certificate II qualification or above in this Training Package or another endorsed Training Package or accredited course, provided that the units chosen contribute to the vocational outcome of this qualification and do not duplicate the outcome of another unit chosen for the qualification.

Eighteen (18) units to be completed.

Traineeships and Apprenticeships
