Description

This is a qualification for those engaged in driving operation job roles in the Transport and Logistics industry.
It involves a broad range of skilled applications including requirements to evaluate and analyse current practices, to develop new criteria and procedures for performing current practices, and to provide leadership and guidance to others in applying skills and planning skill development.
Job roles
Job roles and titles vary across different sectors. Possible job titles relevant to this qualification include:
Chemical tanker driver
Fuel tanker driver
Heavy recovery driver
LP gas tanker driver.
Successful achievement of the licensing unit in the qualification must align with licensing and regulatory requirements applicable to driving and state or territory regulatory requirements.

Packaging Rules
A total of twelve (12) units of competency comprising:
- four (4) core units listed below plus
- one (1) licensing/industry elective unit relevant to the vehicle type applicable to the job role from the licensing/industry elective units listed below plus
- all units within one of the specialist electivegroups (job roles) from Group A, Group B, Group C or Group D listed below plus
- five (5) general elective units from the general elective units listed below if selecting Group A, Group B or Group C or
- six (6) general elective units from the general elective units listed below if selecting Group D.
- up to three (3) of the general elective units may be selected from any relevant nationally endorsed Training Package or accredited course. The units must contribute to the vocational outcomes of the qualification.

Where imported units are selected, care must be taken to ensure that all prerequisite units specified are complied with.

The following units have prerequisite units:
- CPCCSF2003A Cut and bend materials using oxy-LPG equipment
- TLIC0002 Operate fuel tanker
- TLIC0003 Operate LP gas tanker
- TLID4048 Top load a dangerous goods tanker
- TLID4049 Bottom load a dangerous goods tanker.
