Description

This qualification reflects the role of a skilled operator working in pipe laying in the civil construction industry, who applies a broad range of skills in a varied work context, using some discretion and judgement and relevant theoretical knowledge. The individual may provide theoretical advice and support a team.

Packaging Rules
Successful completion of twenty five (25) Units of Competency made up of:
- seventeen (17) mandatory units, and
- eight (8) elective units of which:
- at least seven (7) must come from the electives listed in the RII31309 qualification outline including at least four (4) at Certificate III level of which at least one unit RIICPL301A OR RIICPL302A OR RIICPL303A is to be chosen
- up to one (1) unit may come from Certificate II, III or IV level from this or any other Training Package

Units chosen must be relevant to the job function.
Care must be taken to ensure that all prerequisites specified within imported units, or units chosen as electives, are compiled with.
