Description
Scope
This qualification covers competencies for work entry program providing grounding in safety and basic skills and knowledge for work in any electrotechnology discipline.

Packaging Rules
The requirements for awarding this qualification are that the following are successfully achieved:- All seven (7) core units, plus
- A combination of elective units selected from Group A and/or Group B, to achieve a total weighting of 120 points
- A maximum of sixty (60) weighting points may be chosen from Group A Imported and Common Elective Units
- A minimum of sixty (60) to a maximum of 120 weighting points may be chosen from Group B Elective Units
- All the required prerequisites competency standard units have been met as required
Imported units from other training packages and/or state accredited courses can be added to group A, but they must be selected from qualifications where the unit is first packaged at AQF level 2. If units have not being assigned a weighting in the Electrotechnology Training Package, their weighting will be 10 points.
